Overall Responsibility

In charge of developing sales strategies and business plans for Nikon Photo products in Latin America in accordance with the company policy and strategy. Responsible for revenue attainment and P&L accountability with assigned territory/customers. Develop and execute sales programs for all assigned channels of distribution and manage key relationships with distributors and retail partners. Understand the changes to the marketplace and industry and adjust plans accordingly. Keep General Manager of Latin America informed of sales activities and business developments.

Essential Functions and Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Formulate and execute business plan to develop and expand market penetration of DSLR, CDSC, lenses and accessories in assigned territories.
  • Develop and communicate strategic marketing plans to promote and elevate the brand maintaining its identity in conjunction with the Marketing manager.
  • Develop the annual budget and budget revisions in conjunction with Sales Planning
  • Develop the product line-up and price strategy based on the product planning, competition, market environment etc in each market.
  • Monitor and analyze customer forecasts and sales data against budget, market and/or import data to determine sales performance, market share, and identify areas of growth
  • Evaluate competitive activities to determine impact on market, and develop business scenarios to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Monitor inventory levels of all products against aggregated forecast and recommend modifications to product purchases and/or local kit production.
  • Allocate strategically constrained products based on individual in-country promotions, advertising schedules and other commitments.
  • Collaborate with credit dept., establish adequate credit terms for customers based on forecasts.
  • Establish and maintain high-level business relationships with customers.
  • Develop end of life scenarios and negotiate transitions with customers.
  • Maximum travel required to fulfill essential functions is up to 50% (includes overnight travel)

Qualifications

  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint with SAP preferred
  • Ability to fluently speak and write in Spanish required, knowledge of Portuguese preferred
  • Ability to set key performance indicators, analyze raw data into meaningful and actionable insights.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to Travel U.S. domestic and international

Education, Skills & Experience

  • 6 + years international sales and marketing experience in a multi-national corporation
  • 4 + years experience successfully account management, including retailers and distributors
  • B.A. or B.S. degree, MBA preferred
