Overall Responsibility

Oversees all aspects of production, trafficking and distribution of printed communicated materials from inception to completion. Supervise and assist the production team on special projects to include product launches, brochures, sell sheets, POP, warranty and ESC forms, communications, mailings, and invoicing. Keep Production Manager apprised of projects status, schedules and related production issues.

Essential Functions and Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Oversee all requests for Digital SLR, NIKKOR, LA and general production projects including the production of collateral, displays, sales meeting materials, rebate mailings and fulfillment.
  • Coordinate schedules, copy, content, photo assets, pre-press, printing and delivery of all Digital SLR, Lens and Speedlight Product Announcements.
  • Coordinate the on-going updates on the DSLR Comparison Guide and DSLR Flip Charts
  • Provide production support for Nikon publications such as Digital Product Guide and Nikon School books
  • Coordinate schedules, copy, content, photography, pre-press, printing and delivery of other assigned communication projects and coordinate translations of all LA materials
  • Work with key internal marketing personnel to obtain necessary copy, layout and execution approvals and monitor overall project quality.
  • Oversee distribution of all assigned production projects including announcements and mailings to internal and external parties as well as electronic distribution.
  • Prepare production related project budgets/ estimates and control expenditures to insure adherence to budget parameters and deadlines and negotiate project printing costs.
  • Oversees and make recommendations for the ongoing development and improvement of production procedure, systems and supplier performance, Oversee and attend press checks.
  • Keep Production Manager apprised of projects status, schedules and related production issues.
  • Maximum amount of travel required to fulfill essential job functions up to 10% (includes overnight travel)

Qualifications

  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MAC applications
  • Knowledge of Nikon Consumer Digital Imaging Products
  • Extensive knowledge of current graphic design and printing technologies used to produce various printed materials.
  • Knowledge of trade show graphic production, three dimensional design and packaging
  • Working knowledge of InDesign, photoshop and illustrator
  • Ability to make decisions independently based on established guidelines, coordinating a multitude of projects, meeting deadlines, and managing pressure
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in Spanish, written and verbal and ability to travel.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • 5 + years of production, advertising and marketing experience.
  • B.A. Marketing or Advertising or related field or equivalent experience.
